New Katy investor looking to BRRRR (and bring you value)
Hello everyone! I'm a newbie investor looking to get started down the BRRRR road. I'm almost done with David Greene's BRRRR book and have a few more books lined up after that. I coworker of mine has done BRRRR successfully in another state and turned me onto BP.
I live in Katy, TX and am looking to invest nearby. Although Katy does not appear to be a good option for the 1% rule, anything within an hour's drive would be great. I have cash but no Core team and would love to build one. A few questions for this great BP community:
1. Are the Houston suburbs still a valid BRRRR target post-COVID? There are some posts here with seeming mixed feelings:
How's the Rental Market Houston/Cypress/Katy right now? (biggerpockets.com)
HOUSTON SUPER HOT MARKET - WHAT SHOULD WE EXPECT IN EARLY 2021 (biggerpockets.com)
2. Are there any Katy-area meetups that have resumed (again, post-COVID)? I see Jet Lending is still doing events?:
Super Investor Meeting RSVP - Jet Lending, LLC
3. How can I bring you value? I obviously don't have REI experience but I'm a software developer by trade. If you need a website refresh, custom software, or just need some technical help then let's connect!
Thanks!
