New Salesperson in Norfolk VA looking for broker

I just recently passed my VA salesperson exams and I am looking for a broker to work under in the area. Looking for input from agents, new and old, for what is important to you when interviewing potential brokers. Any advice on mistakes you made when starting or lessons learned willing to share. I'm ready to jump into this next phase of my life whole heartedly and appreciate your feedback.
