Hey,
possibly looking to make a transaction with a friend who is tired of land lording in Atlanta. Any recommendations of a broker or agent who could help me(us) with the transaction?

This is a request for recommendations for an agent. You cannot recommend yourself, that's an ad. Its not an offer to sell this property, either.

If you're the buyer, and your friend is the seller, don't spend the money on an agent... their job is to link buyers with sellers! if you don't need that service, don't pay for it. The only thing an agent does at a closing is sit and look pretty while waiting for a check.

I think you'd be better off contacting a closing attorney directly and telling them what you're doing. You'll pay the attorney directly, he'll draw up the documents, and then you and your friend just go and close.

I've used John Maurer Law and like him. I know some people also have had great experiences with Halperin Lyman. I think John is a bit cheaper and more 'investor friendly' though.

Check out www.aturnkeyrealty.com, you can ask for Josh Bakhshi (650-678-3264 is his cell). Mention that you were referred by me and maybe he'll give you a discounted rate for the transaction.
