Mortgage loan officers

I have been in the hospitality industry for 16 years and all of my adult life. This pandemic has slammed the earning potential in half at best while being underinsured and exposed to Covid 19.

I’m looking at getting involved with real estate for a full time job as well as side hustle through house hacking. Are there any loan officers on here that have any advice on how to get in the business? I applied at quicken loans and haven’t heard anything back. I’m potentially interested in taking an online NMLS license test if it will speed up the job hunting. Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
