San Jose Tenants and COVID19

Carlos Lez
Posted

Hi,

A tenant of mine asks how will rent work since the city is under lockdown and their job has closed down till further notice. What is the landlord's recourse if people start leaving. How should we respond?

Thanks

You would be lucky if they leave. What's more scary is they stay, stop paying rent, and you can't kick them out.
