SE Michigan Self Storage Investing

I have been really trying to find a local mentor/group who invests in self storage that might be able to give me some guidance and help me along in my investing career. I have tried contacting a couple of local REIA's about the topic but haven't gotten much of a response.

Does anyone have any advice or tips or maybe even know somebody in the SE Michigan area in self storage?
