I'm looking for my first house hack I'm located in the Tampa area. I'm thinking about investing in a rehab and turning it into a house hack or a live in flip, guess my question would be, where in my area should I narrow down my search for a good house hack?

Hey @Daniel Hanna

First of all, welcome to the real estate world!

I think a good opportunity right now is live in flipping. This means you buy a home that needs work, fix it up while you are living in it, and sell it in 2 years or more. Many people do this in appreciating markets when they know they can get a lot more for their property and there are also some tax benefits to this form of flipping as well.

As stated above, it really depends on your goals with the property though along with where you are working or intend to work. I could tell you Seminole Heights is a good place to invest but if you work in St. Pete, that is a hard commute to deal with.

Good luck with your journey sir!
