Charlotte, NC Area Connections ?

My name is Brandon. I stay in the Charlotte area of NC. Looking to build some relationships with investors that I can pick up some knowledge from, advice, etc. Currently in search of my first deal (looking to wholesale). Any advice on the Charlotte market, markets surrounding. I have spent the last year or so really learning everything I need to know about wholesaling and investing, I am now looking to implement. Any advice for someone in my position? Real estate networking events ?
