Newbie in Maryland.

Im a newbie. I’m looking for my first property. I’d like something in Prince George’s County and I come across alot of properties via the home apps BUT how do I know when I’m looking at a good deal? Is there an area I should focus on?

I’m also seeing dirt cheap properties in Baltimore.. should I even look at these?

Any advice is appreciated.
