Getting started in REI in Tri-cities

Milan Joshi
Posted

Hi all,

We moved to the Tri-cities area 3 years ago for work and after we paid off some student loans we want to start to invest in real estate.  Real estate is a new world to us and we are not very familiar with Tri-cities market.

Our question is:

We are looking to invest in Johnson city given ETSU/Hospitals etc. Is Johnson city a good place to invest in SFR in terms of future growth? Is there any new industry coming/leaving Johnson city?

Any particular region of the city we should stay away from?

Any one know any good realtor that understands properties from an investor standpoint?

Thank you all very much.

@Milan Joshi

I second @Mark Fletcher

The only bad parts of johnson city are pretty obvious if you go to drive by a property your interested in. For the most part though, its a nice area with a growing down town scene.

Contact @Constance Grandelli if your looking for a realtor. She runs the Tricities REI group.
