Accounting Software - keep track of numbers for taxes
I am a real estate professional and landlord. I was listening to a podcast regarding rental management and the software that helps to track expenses and income. My ears perked up because currently I was using my own system I devised myself using office excel spreadsheets. I have been using my own system for the last 6 years. The bummer about my system is that it at the end of the year I still have to add everything up and spend several days, literally, getting all my figures together to take to the tax man.
I found rentalhero.com and signed up for free. They had a 30 day free trial period so I tried it. It was easy to understand and as I started entering my rental properties into the system I realized it was super easy to use and had everything my spreadsheet had but MORE... lots MORE!!! I was super excited because it has a feature that allows you to upload pictures of receipts and pdf scans of receipts and documents. It stores it nicely online and I don't have to worry about finding this stuff and entering at the end of the year anymore.
If anyone is looking for a super good software system to manage their rentals I would highly recommend my rental hero... no joking... it is sooooooooooooooooo awesome!
