Any Investors in the Baton Rouge Area? I'm Looking for Meetups!

I am new to real estate investing. I am currently a listing/marketing coordinator for a real estate team at Berkshire Hathaway in Baton Rouge, LA. I am familiar with the real estate market here and listen to BiggerPockets podcasts daily. I am currently helping a friend, who is also new to investing, flip a property to start building capital for future investment properties. Personally, I plan to start investing by the end of 2019.

With that being said, I have been looking for meetups in the area, unfortunately the closest meetups I have found are in New Orleans, LA. Just curious to know if there are any active investors in my area.

Hello and welcome to BP @Derrick Reeves! You can find the Baton Rouge REIA, better known as "The RING" on the meetup website. I would share a link, but they don't like links here. So if you put the meetup website with a forward slash and the-ring you will find the group. It's very well organized and there are a lot of active investors there every month.

Meetings are usually on the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 6:30 PM at the Hyatt on Bluebonnet. See you soon!
