Flood Zone and Flood Insurance in Center Point, AL

Hey Everyone,

I was looking at buying two "good" deals in Center Point, AL this week when I noticed that both were in a big flood plane.

The addresses are:

  • 701 Sunny Lane Drive NE Center Point, AL 35215
  • 720 Earline Street, Center Point, AL 35215

Here is a map of the flood plane: https://msc.fema.gov/portal/search#searchresultsanchor

I know several investors who own good cash-flowing properties in this area, and so I am not sure how concerned I should be about this.

Does anyone have an estimate of how much flood insurance costs in this area?

Thanks!

-Maura
