Price reductions in Midland Texas

I just read some stats on cities with biggest price reductions in real estate. Midland Texas was number one out of about the top 25. For you folks,out in Texas, why is that number one? What are you experiencing there?

@Scott Harper  The Midland / Odessa area is very isolated from the rest of the Texas market.  The oil industry is the only reason anyone is there.
