Getting started in real estate

Hi, I am really looking for some tips to begin my career in real estate. I am from Massachusetts, I have been in hospitality all my life and now I am looking for changes in careers, I am a really social person, have an interest in sales and am driven to succeed.  English is my second language and I am working as a receptionist now. I am frustrated with my current job. Financially I am not as doing good as I want, I have already completed the course required to take the licensing exam and am currently studying to be sure I pass. I would like to know ways I can have a good start in this business, be sure I pass the exam, make sure I am getting a good deal when choosing a company to work with, and in the end sell my first house! Any suggestions or help will be greatly appreciated, thank you and have a nice day.
