Looking for experienced investors in the UK

I'm planning on moving in to the UK so I thought it would be better if I would get some connections before I get there so that I can start meeting other investors as soon as I move in. I would like to meet and connect with other real estate investors. How should I get started, or what should I do? I'm looking for my life long partners and best friends.
