Salton Sea / Salton City, California: anything there?
I'm interested to know if anybody has done anything real estate related in the Salton Sea area. It's regarded as a pretty much barren wasteland, so I don't think there's any potential there, at the moment.
However... this news article brings up a good point about the Salton Sea's resources (lithium) and how Tesla is considering locations in the southwest for their proposed gigafactory. The Salton Sea could be a viable natural resource for this, and if Tesla decides to build there, that'll create a whole lot of real estate value practically overnight.

This is entirely speculative, but still fun to talk about. What do you guys and girls think?
