Starting my own meetup: Advice Please

I'm planning on starting my own meet up in the lovely frigid land of Fargo, ND. Its a smaller market than most but not the smallest. It definitely has potential to grow. By February I would like to have a meetup in place where investors can come together for a monthly meetup.

In the beginning, to attract people, I plan to have professionals come and discuss a topic relevant to investing. This can range from finding money, how HML works, how rehabbing works, clauses and protections in contracts, etc.

Who ever has suggestions as to marketing, places to meet, topics to discuss, etc. I'd be glad to hear. If you've found successes or failures please share.

Furthermore, if you're interested in presenting (whether live or via webcam) LET ME KNOW. I so highly respect the members of the BP community and I'd be glad to have someone be a reputable figure at a meetup.

Thanks!
