HI

I'm a new investor and new to BP in Northern California (Silicon Valley area) looking for a local REIA that I can join.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

@Charles Sumner Welcome to BP! I'm in southern California, so can't help you on the REIA. However; there are a lot of members in the bay area. Have you filled out the keyword alerts yet? If not, you might want to do that, and put your area, etc. so you'll be notified when any of those keywords are being discussed in the forums.

You can also check out meetup.com for meetings. Try to stay away from those that are selling stuff, and look for the ones with real information. Also, try doing a search on BP for "bay area meetups" "nor cal meet ups", etc.

Have you read the Beginners Guide to Investing, or listened to any podcasts? Both can be accessed above through the "Learn" tab. Good luck. Have fun!
