New Investor: Question About the Velocity of Money

Hello everyone! I've yet to make my first investment but I do have one burning question about the "refinance" part of BRRRR investing I've yet to see answered. It seems like the seasoning time before refinancing would be a pretty strong governor on the velocity of your money. Is it typical to find a way around this? What does it look like when you already have ten conventional mortgages and you have to start doing portfolio loans? If someone could give me some clarity about strategies to keep my money working for me in the future I would really appreciate it. Thanks!
