Tool sharing application?

General question: outside of renting tools from a brick and mortar store, are there any web applications, mobile apps, or online marketplaces where people share construction/remodeling tools peer2peer (similar to turo, Airbnb, etc)? Seems like a good way to recapture cost of tools if you only use a few times and find for cheaper than a large commercial store that seem to overcharge. Thanks
