Rookie here: what is the etiquette with using an agent?

I'm new to BP and investing. I'm reading a lot and moving my pieces into place to make my second purchase and I want to find a deal for BRRRR.

I have several contacts and acquaintances that are agents. I really don’t want to sign any agreements with agent too quickly but I’m not sure what the etiquette is. I’m guessing an agent may not want to bring me anything if I don’t have sign an agreement with them. But what if I do sign and then another friend (agent) comes along and presents a deal? Is there such a thing as having a couple agents on your team?

Thanks for reading!
