Where do you buy construction materials in Dallas??

Hey guys,

I'm going to be doing some light remodeling an old house in the Dallas area. My problem is that I live in CA and I don't have the same contacts there as I do here. My cousin is a good handy man down there but he's also new to the area so he usually will go to home depot for materials. Problem is that laminate and stuff like that is way more expensive in the retail market. He already has put in laminate in the kitchen and the materials themselves cost double what they should have.

Do any of you have any recommendations for places for flooring, kitchen, bath, lighting?? I'm thinking about simply updating the master bath, putting in recessed lighting, updating the kitchen cabinets, paint and trim throughout. Thanks!
