Economy of Des Moines

Looking at purchasing a rental out in Des Moines. Hoping to purchase more in the future if things go well. Wanted to ask how people’s experiences have been with the Des Moines market.

Jobs, population, education, is it a place to be? Etc. Looking for experience from others!

Thank you!

@Carlos Castanon, I've been in Des Moines the last 12 years, investing in buy and hold rentals the last 3 years and a then made the jump to FT realtor as of the last couple months to help investors find properties.

It is a sellers market, the rentals are staying full and actually filling up VERY fast in the Des Moines area.

When you say, how is the economy, there are many studies out there, but I've yet to see any that paint Des Moines in a subpar picture. You can't throw a dart and be successful, but depending on what you are looking for I think you could develop a team out of Des Moines and be successful.

I'm happy to jump on a call and go into more detail if you want some specifics or any data trends you would typically as for from a realtor.

Happy to help, just say the word.
