Insurance roof replacement
I am thinking about buying a property that needs the roof replaced and was wondering if there is a way to get my home insurance to cover the cost of the roof replacement.

@Kieran Dowling you mean, your insurance? The policy that you would get on this house? I mean, I doubt it. Usually, if there is damage to the existing roof we try to get the EXISTING owner's policy to cover it. That's the normal route we take. If you are buying off the MLS then the suggestions above will help but if you are buying OFF MARKET then I would do everything I can to try to get the existing policy to cover it.
