Typical rehab items/strategy to maximize ARV

Hello, I recently closed on my first (duplex) property in Cleveland to BRRRR. The property is in decent shape and requires medium rehab. As a newbie to this, I'd like to know what are some ‘typical' rehab items/strategy to maximize ARV while keeping the rehab cost low. Any advice from investors and contractors would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Congrats on your first property! Hard to say without more details, but newly finished kitchens and bathrooms would be my first priority to maximize ARV. Paint is probably a must. Flooring, maybe new cabinets (or new paint/finish on the existing ones) as well. Updated doors, locks, toilets, and light fixtures if necessary. Good luck!
