Is it possible to remove smoke from a BRRRR property

I have a seller finance opportunity but the house has been smoked in the for the past decade. Planning to do a deep cleaning, get the HVAC/ducts cleaned, replace carpet and do a coat of KILZ before repainting. But I’m a little worried the smell will still linger. Is it possible to completely remove the smell or am I getting myself into a problem property?
