Paralysis analysis need advice

Posted

Seen a few houses in the area and i am a first time investor, but was wondering if I should have and inspector or contractor look at a property before I make an offer because I don't want to purchase someone's problem such as bad foundation. I'm interested in the BRRR strategy so I am looking for a property that needs work but just afraid of super expensive problems like a bad foundation. Do it cost to have a contractor or inspector come and look at every property before I buy it or should just make an offer and if something is not worth it back out the deal. Feed back very appreciated thank you!!

@Ramel Ruffin Read read read, research, research, research, learn, learn, learn, as much as you can about home construction, rehab, and maintenance. When you start out having an inspection is massive but at some point you'll rely less on other people's opinion and more on yourself. Like @Michael Dumler said if the market is competitive (most are) you need SPEED. Getting an opportunity under contract can't take more than a few hours if something hits the market in you "buy box" neighborhood(s). Find issues during the inspection period then make your decision.
