REI Interest Post Grad in St. Louis County

Hello! I am a college student about to graduate in May, with a degree in Civil Engineering. While I love engineering, I have picked up a recent interest in Real Estate Investing. I am stationed in St. Louis and I would like to do business in my own backyard. If anybody could help, it would be greatly appreciated!

What are some good counties/neighborhoods to look to invest in, in St. Louis?

Would you recommend investing in SFH or MFH in St. Louis?

Would it be better to tend to Airbnb rentals over traditional rentals?

Any help with these questions and/or beginning advice would be appreciated!
