Hi all! New to the BP community, which I came across while immersing myself in REI research. So far, so great! Looking to connect and get involved locally...

Networking - I've already joined BREIA and DREIA, but want to know more about meetups and associations in the Boca Raton/Delray/WPB area. Any recommendations?

Legal + Taxes - Have some names and resources on my list, but looking for recommendations from anyone who has had an excellent experience they'd like to share. Any standouts in the South Florida, tri-county area?

Scams & Shady Practices - Would love to know about any scams and or scandalous practices that you have experienced or are aware of, especially in SoFla. Any issues with lenders worthy of sharing?

I'm always actively learning about these topics, will search BP and other resources, but I find it more useful when it comes from first-hand experience.

@Nadjalisse Rodriguez - I second what @Gregory Emmer says about BREIA/DREIA. I also attended @Account Closed's event this week and it was pretty great, especially for such a new event. 

With regards to "Scams & Shady Practices" - I think it depends on what you are doing...Are you wholesaling? You mentioned lenders - are you flipping? Buy & hold? There's a ton of unscrupulous people in South Florida, but what you need to watch out for depends on what you're doing...
