Can you use the internet to determine a homes value.

Hello. I'm the type of person that usually live in the bubble and take things for what it is. The reason why I bring that up is because I use sites like zillow and eppraisals to determine a homes value. On those sites they say they are estimates. What I'm trying to figure out is how far off are these sites and/or can they be helpful in predetermining a homes value.
