Real Estate Investment Website Start-Up

I am looking for advice on how to approach starting up a website to lead buyers/sellers/and investors. Would it be beneficial to have two different sites for buyers and sellers? Also, when it comes to information for the website, what is recommended when it comes to educating and making sellers comfortable.

Would squeeze pages be utilized separate from the website or just keep it simple and have one functioning website available for both.

In my opinion, you are going to want some degree of separation between where you are picking up motivated seller leads, and where you spend time explaining to investors what you do. It is entirely possible that your sellers will read your blog and determine that they are leaving money on the table, so to speak.

That said, I would recommend setting up one (main) domain that is the public face of your business (www.example.com), and has the appeals and contact forms for your sellers. Provide good useful information about the benefits of your service rather than merely the features..

Then, set up a sub domain for your investors and others that would look like www.investors.example.com. In effect, you'll have 2 different sites (or even 3 if you like) that do not necessarily interlink, and are targeted to each audience. You will save money on domains and hosting this way.

Squeeze pages are very effective in information marketing, but not so much for Real Estate. Keep your sites simple with clear calls to action and links to submission forms on every page and it will have the same effect.

Squeeze pages only really work when you have something desirable behind door number one to give away. I can't tell you how many pissed off people who will never do business with you you'll make if you promise hot deals for their info, and deliver nothing on the other side but a "Thank You! You'll be emailed when something that meets your criteria comes your way!" Don't do that, please.
