Consumer Perception of Squeeze Pages

These days if you're doing any searching online you'll come across squeeze pages regularly. I don't know about you, but typically this is a turn off for me and I usually just move on regardless of my interest for a product or service.

I'm curious how other consumers here react to these pages? Do they work for those of you that use them?

My reaction could be purely an age thing. Feel free to share your perspective on this marketing tool.
