ANother Shout out to Property Radar
AS many of you know I am not the most tech literate guy on the planet.. But I just have to give credit were its due.. Property Radar is just such a robust tool.
Yesterday I went and looked at a few Timber properties I was interested in both of them a good 10 to 15 miles back into the boonies.
the app comes up it tags to google earth and then one thing I am very good at is direction and finding stuff being an old land sales guy.
I orient the phone and the app on the phone to north.. and in 2 minutes I found the parcels .. no address's nothing but the app and what's cool is the lot lines lay over the google earth.. what could have been and Easter egg hunt took me a matter of minutes.
Now the only thing I would like to add to the app is USGS topos.. out here in our area is quite hilly or mountainous really. So with North established google earth with lot lines and an over lay of TOPO this becomes even better.
the other thing that would be cool if able would be to over lay the US forest services section land and ownership over lay.. right now I have to use the big map I get at the forestry department.. this is critical because so much forest land is checker boarded with state federal and BLM .. If you ever fly over the north west in winter you clearly see with the snow on the ground the checker board effect this is because of the way the timber companies and in the old days the feds sold off sections.. they checker boarded ownership.
I just find this so cool.. what used to take me hours now is a matter of minutes.. these two props I am honing in on were found on the back end of property radar a little know avenue that we use to find distressed props cant divulge it on air here.. but suffice it to say these are big money plays.
