Skiptracing for New Jersey Residents

Marie O'Keefe
Posted

Hey everyone. I was told that when skiptracing buyers, it is necessary to run your "Cash-Buyers ListSource List" through the "Do Not Call Registry" if you are going to "Skip-Trace" it and "Cold-Call" the names on such "Cash Buyers ListSource List".

Is this the case for skiptracing sellers as well? Thanks in advance

@Marie O'Keefe once you get a list, you can work with a company to add phone numbers where available.  (some list brokers offer this service) Check to be sure that the company you work with will flag the numbers if they are registered in Do-not-call (DNC)

The registry won't provide you with any numbers you don't already have.

You should however familiarise yourself with the rules for telemarketing (even though it is obvious to me, based on all the robo-calls I get that no one is enforcing anything) https://telemarketing.donotcall.gov/
