So I've been on this site for over 2 years and sense the format change I can't get in the swing of it. Bless Josh's little fingertips and all the moderators for all their efforts. I have a lot of social media knowledge and I still can't crack this nut. I'm going to break down the few basic ways I use this site and I'm hoping some of you addicts can help me improve how I use it.

1. I log in daily and read all the forum topics for the last 24 hours. I respond to any I feel capable of answering. I don't elect to get email notifications but am considering setting up an email filter and receiving them.

2. I am currently doing people searches for anyone in SoCal and following them. We are caped at 25 per day so it's taking a bit. I know the filter was put up to prevent spammers but I'm genuinely interested in helping and networking with my neighbors.

3. What the crap does "following" do? It appears that the people I follow show in in my activity feed.

4. I read the blogs that come to my email but the blog site is very convoluted. I have no idea how to navigate it. I also have no way to know who to follow. There's no rating system.

And that's about the gist of it. Wow, it looks even more pathetic when I write it down. I think my ADD is getting the best of me.
