Screen recording and editing tools

I record my computer screen to communicate ideas of tasks to assistants and document Workflows to be created into training guides.  

Any recommendations on video screen recording tools (for Mac and PC)?

I use Snagit from TechSmith to record quick screencast explainer videos for my clients.   

For full video editing I use Camtasia from TechSmith.

I have used Camtasia for years. Just switched to Screenflow, both are great and easy to use. This is one of my most critical tools.

screen cast o matic is my go to! The free version has a 15minute limit but most of my tasks don’t need much more than this. Hopefully this helps!
