Great Tool to learn the prices of homes in a targeted area.

Of course you are familiar with google maps. But did you know that you can learn the prices for what homes are selling in a specific area?

Simply type in the search box at (www.googlemaps.com) the address of a property or the zip code and after the info pops up you'll find a blue text box, click on it and when it drops down click on real esate and watch what happens.

Now you can take the numbers and determine what's a deal!

To accurately determine value, knowing what is also For Sale won't help you very much. I routinely see houses listed for 10-50% above what I list my houses for, but that doesn't mean that the value of my houses are 10-50% higher.

It just means that other people have no idea what their house is worth, and have priced it inappropriately. This is why those houses may sit for months or years without ever getting a buyer.

In order to determine a property's value, you need to know what has sold near the property in the past couple months...NOT what's currently for sale...
