Real Estate Advertising
I'm a real broker, is it legal to advertise for family their property on the internet in states I am not licensed in? for example - I want to help out my mother by advertising her property, I will not receive a "commission" nor would I participate in actual negotiations, etc.
I ask because I often see agents listings on realtor.com and other real estate websites in a "help u sell manner" in states they are not licensed in. what is their legal loop hole as these people list in all 50 states and i've looked them up & no license in that state, and they do not say co-brokered, they say they are re advertising firm only. obviously, they would have been stopped by now if it wasn't legal? what wording makes this ok? Is their a scenario where I could simply list mom's place without ruuning into legal troubles?
any info would be appreciated.... thanks
