SEO - Seach Engine optimization - backlinks on your post signature

For all of the pros out there who post frequently, have you noticed if all the backlinks have helped your SEO? 

I have been debating upgrading to the Pro account and getting more active on the forums to try and improve both my business acumen and also get more backlinks out there for my site. I am more of an introverted person but I need an excuse to get out of my comfort zone.
