LinkedIn - Useable for an REI Investor?

I get the purpose of LinkedIn for individuals like RE Agents, Mortgage Brokers, Contractors (to some degree) but do the rest of you REI "full-timers" use LinkedIn? Or is it really just another box to get checked?

I'm just questioning whether or not it's worth the couple of hours to roll over my old LinkedIn profile to something RE focused and start the networking there as well...

LinkedIn is certainly a solid platform and I'm sure you can find ways to meet investors there.  That said, you're on the most active platform for real estate investors already -- BiggerPockets.  I think you'd find time spent here to be far more worthwhile than over there, but I'm certainly rather biased on this one. ;)

Try spending a few hours engaging here on the forums a week and you'll find your network grows very quickly.
