Real Estate Tech Talk!
Hey Everyone,
With all the excitement around real estate tech lately, I'm curious – what tools or platforms have you found most beneficial in your work? Especially with AI becoming a bigger player, I'd love to hear how it's specifically helped your business.
For example, have you used any AI-powered tools for:
- Identifying properties for investors?
- Streamlining lead nurturing and qualification?
- Generating scripts and building a database?
For me, I use a combination of Asana (workflow management), Gemini (google AI) and Stessa to keep my portfolio on track.
I'm always looking for ways to improve my own workflow, so any insights you can share would be welcome too!
On another note, what's your one favorite non-AI tools these days too?

Good morning De'andre
Real estate tech is definitely getting exciting, especially using AI. I am familiar with a couple of CRM options that incorporate sales and marketing. I am not sure if they are particularly used for Real Estate as of yet, they do have a focus on nurturing, qualifying and tracking leads. Gemini created these product summaries for me. I tend to be a bit wordy in my descriptions. These are far more concise.
- HubSpot CRM:This CRM excels at integrating your CRM with marketing and sales automation, which can be a huge time-saver. They offer a free tier to get started, so it's a budget-friendly option to see if it fits your needs. As your business grows, HubSpot scales with you with paid plans offering more advanced features. HubSpot might be ideal if you want to tightly integrate your CRM with marketing efforts.
- Freshworks CRM:If you're looking for an AI-powered solution, Freshworks CRM is a strong contender. Their machine learning capabilities can automate tasks, score leads, and even provide sales forecasting, giving you valuable insights to optimize your sales process. Freshworks shines with its AI-powered functionalities.
I am least excited about the need to cold call on properties and the need for sales and marketing so I will be digging on anything that identifies quality properties. Please let me know if you find such a tool. I'm also curious to hear more about your experience with Gemini and how you use it in your work. Fantastically powerful tool.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you want to geek out on more tech and workflow efficiency.
Hey, great question!
For me, it's Klaviyo.com all the way. It's a fantastic Email + SMS automation marketing platform that seamlessly integrates with your property and prospect database, as well as your website. This allows you to create super targeted campaigns, filtering by prospect attributes, property attributes, and more. It's a real game-changer for lead nurturing and staying top-of-mind with potential clients.
While AI is definitely making waves, sometimes the good old non-AI tools are the unsung heroes.
Not as sexy of an answer as those above. But when I was an agent, learning some basic Python and VBA (Excel) really helped me save time in the process of collecting and analyzing real estate data.
Especially since I was working with a lot of developers in Miami who wanted fat spreadsheets of 5 condo buildings in a market (each one could have 500+ units!).
I quickly identified the tasks in my day-to-day that could be automated and learned how to do so, I think nowadays you don't even need to code to do that, but being in real estate means being highly adaptive to a dynamic environment, so having the knowledge of automating your business is very useful..

I've been working with technology for the last 25 years; sometimes you don't need sexy, you just need a tool that works.
It's a sin that, we technologist, fall for often: searching for sexy instead of "this old thing just works" :)

Agreed, though in my experience, a lot of real estate professionals are far from the most technical people, so having clean and intuitive software UI is very key... but then again the MLS exists and that to my knowledge still doesn't have a back button... lol
I’ve been really impressed with PadStats, a platform that's revolutionizing real estate tech with its AI-driven tools. PadStats uses a proprietary socioeconomic viability score for each block group, census tract, and county in the US. This helps ensure the rental price suggestions are incredibly accurate by avoiding less similar locations.
For property condition assessments, PadStats utilizes AI and computer vision to score properties based on Fannie Mae condition guidelines, which has been a game-changer for precision in rental valuations.
They are also expanding to include automated property valuations and crime data heatmaps, making it an even more comprehensive tool for real estate professionals.
As for non-AI tools, I still find Asana and Stessa indispensable for workflow management and portfolio tracking. What about you all? Any other recommendations?
I know there is a company that is working to use AI to streamline self-storage revenue, though I cannot recall the name right now. I know placer.ai has been a big name in the game as well.
