Rochester Student Applicants

In the Rochester rental housing market, I was wondering if you could tell an applicant a house isn't available for student rental. Wasn't sure if there were any local or state laws that protected students, or if this was a gray area for "age discrimination". Any input appreciated. Thanks.

@Bryan Johnson That is very NOT true:

@Min K. You cannot deny an applicant because of age. Bryan was correct in that you should have consistent standards and then you could deny them based on that. Age IS protected in New York.

This is a good reason to outsource filling units, as you won't end up on the wrong side of a discrimination suit!
