New Budget Proposal and Possible DC Recession
Does DC and recession belong in the same sentence? Curious what people might think about the talk regarding the new budget proposal and a possible recession in the DC area? I've heard speculation of home prices dropping 3%

Overblown fears. There is a shortage of people to fill current jobs in the DC area, so even if the White House was able to get through the cuts it wants, many of those people would simply be absorbed into the current opening of jobs. PG County and the out lying areas are more economically sensitive than some of the areas like DC proper, Montgomery, Howard, Fairfax and Arlington Counties, so you could see price drops in PG county, perhaps a slow to development to things EOTR. But the DC area has a very diversified economy unlike 30 years ago.
