Granite Countertop Recommendation
Hey all,
I just had Frank from DMV Granite give me a free estimate on my 53sq ft kitchen counter tops. The price was at least a $1000 dollars lower than other quotes we got.
Quoted me:
$1950 for everything that included:
White Moon Granite
Installation and Haul Away
A Free Single Sink and Installation
I'm planning on adding to the order:
A Double Sink & Install +$350
Plumbing +$250
Granite Lip + $400
Additional Total = $2950
He also quoted me a subway tile backsplash for $2000, if I decide on that I'm going to try and talk him down. That would make my total $4550.
Anyway
They have a special going on right now that I think is pretty good: http://www.dmvgranite.com/

IMO, these are higrade improvements for PERSONAL homes, not a rental - - even a Class-A.
Granite is POUROS and will take permanent stains. The require frequent sealing to enable a serviceable life span and you can't expect a tenant to do that.
Use a non-pouros surfaces like title or a newer product called solid laminate (see Homedepot or Lowes).
