WSJ - Complete Real Estate Investing Guidebook - David Crook

I am a little surprised not to see any reviews on this book, but I am about 90% through as of last night and it is a fantastic book. No fluff, so selling other programs, just basic, realistic view of REI.

I have to say as a newbie, I have read a bunch of books since making this decision back in December '06, including the Kiyosaki stuff, a few other gurus, etc. The most useful to me have been this one and the Dummies Guide to Real Estate Investing. Seems to me everything else is mostly motivational. (And yes, I have made offers already and we expect to have a property within the next couple weeks, so I am not in the "I have been in REI for 2 years, but haven't bought anything yet" category!) .
