Is Anyone Using the "Dovetail Method" of investing in Short Sales?

Several months ago there was a big push by several RE Guru's to sell a course on SS investing called the Dovetail Method for $5,000. Then, it suddenly disappeared. I considered "qualifying" and investing the $5000. Now I am wondering if the gods of Real Estate have kept me from a scam. QUESTION: Is anyone actually using the system and has it been effective? Thanks for the replys to come!
