Is pay for real estate education worth it?
I just read another post where a new member of BiggerPockets asked the community if he should spend 15K on paying for a coach to teach him how to do multi family investing. Like usual, the majority of the responses were, “No. That’s too much money. You should put that 15K into your first deal.” And so on and so forth.
What I would like from this post is for only people who have spent over 15K on their real estate education to comment on this post. If you haven’t spent at least 15 Kplease do not comment. What I would like to know is how much did you spend on education, was it worth it to you, and how much of a return have you made that you would contribute to your education.
I will go first. I have spent about 75K on my real estate education which has increased my net worth by roughly half a million dollars in just over two years. I don’t say this to brag at all. I am only trying to give the BP community a thread talking about paid education from people who have actually paid for an education.
This thread’s purpose is not to highlight or advertise any one specific training program or guru, it’s purpose is to find out if those people who paid a lot for education got their money’s worth.
So whether you have paid for education on note investing, multi-family investing, syndication investing, lease options, Airbnb, or how to flip houses for a profit, I would love to hear from you and see if, in your opinion, the money you spend was worth it.
