Subject To Investing- Nick Johnson- My honest review
So I am going to start this off by saying Nick has no clue I am doing this and didn't ask me to do this whatsoever. I honestly got the e-book two days ago and told him I would tell him my thoughts next week because I have a ton of work hours within the next 6 days.(you work weekends in retail) But Im writing this review because Ive gotten through almost all of his book because I couldnt stop reading the whole morning.
The first that that impressed me was the length. I have gotten other e-books that were somewhat short and because of that were lacking. This e-book is really anything but. It is 135 pages of reading material plus the goodies he includes at the end. Seeing that the book was this long I expected some of Nicks crazy stories to be in their to fluff it up. But he didn't actually do that and the stories included were examples of him talking to sellers and his typical conversation.
His book covers what subject to investing is, how to find buyers, how to find sellers, marketing, talking with sellers, due diligence, exit strategies and form and contracts that can be used along with a lengthy term list.
All of these things Nick goes into great detail with which is great, especially for a beginning investor. One negative could be at times I felt some of it was too lengthy but that may have just come because I already knew the information from my time studying real estate.
This e-book answered a lot of questions I had and has actually given me confidence to go and do it in real life which is exactly what I was looking for. I plan on reading it over next week while taking all his steps in the book and following through with them as I go along.
I would continue with this longer but I have to go sell shoes so I will leave you with this. If you are a beginning investor of any kind I would recommend this book highly. If you are experienced but still use subject to as a strategy I would also recommend this book. If you have no intentions of using subject to and are experienced you may not get as much out of it as you would otherwise, but what do you expect its called subject to investing for a reason... All in all, this is a great book for any person new to investing or looking to implement the subject-to strategy.
