Mr. Brian Gibbons "Coaching"
My experience with Mr. Brian Gibbons
I will start by taking full responsibility, even though I did my research it wasn’t enough by far. Lesson learned here, before you spend your hard earn money, know exactly what you are getting first and ask for references especially when it comes to coaching.
I called out Mr. Brian’s office and within a few minutes, he called me back (I was impressed). Found out he was a former Marine like myself so the common ground was established. He told me about his impressive years of experienced in the real estate business and how he is one of the best coach in the country. I decided to hire Mr. Brian based on his words (he came off as very genuine) and because I live in Hawaii where it is rough to do business in real estate. After he received the payment of $7000, I received PDF files of negotiating technics from him and a task to contact a few businesses needed when doing a real estate deal (come to find out, that’s his whole training program).
After Brian received the payment he virtually became a ghost, there is no training plan, schedule, guide, knowledge, tools, ETC. Mr. Brian program is basically a pdf file and a “call” if you need anything. That is all. I learned more from the bigger pocket free book than I did from Mr. Brian by a million miles. Bigger pocket pro membership provides users with everything you can think of and it only cost a few hundred compared to a pdf file from Gibbons that cost $7000. If you want to hire this guy, that’s between you and you, but understand that he will sweet talk you until he gets his money.
I would call and either got rushed off the phone, bad service on his end and or he would cancel my booked appointment I made using his calendar.
Mr. Brian did not provide a single thing that I can think of that will give you an advantage. The negotiating pdf he sent me can be found in any sales book
I have emails, canceled appointment notice, that will prove everything that I am saying
I tried to negotiate out of this nightmare deal with him and he refused
I have not heard from Mr. Brian in over two months now, despite emails, calls, voicemails. I thought about suing but at this point, I have already wasted 8 months of my life on this, it is time to move on. It is one thing that Mr. Brian training is below mediocre but as a person he makes the devil look like angel, if Hitler was alive and wanted to do real estate, I would not want to see him under Mr. brains care.
Last and final word, Mr. Brian if you do happen to read this and want to comment, that’s is fine again I can prove my words if you want to say this is about money, well you have my permission to donate the $7000 to bigger pockets. YOU HAVE NOT DONE A THING TO EARN A SINGLE PENNY OF IT.
Learn from my mistake. Before you spend your money, know what you are getting and how to protect yourself from frauds like Mr. Brian Gibbons. In God We Trust.

Dear Jay,
I am responding to your post below on Biggerpockets.
You hired me to assist you in learning real estate investments, and agreed to abide by the terms posted on the website www.REISkills.com
One of the terms of service was to schedule a potential time that was convenient for you 2 times a week and I would confirm that time was fine, and I would confirm by email. The link for appointments is on the site. https://live.vcita.com/site/brianreiskillscoach
Rarely did you do this consistently. You need to book time as agreed as per the Terms of Service. You said it was my responsibility to contact you if I do not hear from you. It does not state that in my Terms of Service.
Many times in the beginning of the training I did ask you to attend REIA meetings and create business contacts, and you were very busy with school and other committments. These meetings are ideal for finding Rehabbers, Private Lenders, JV Partners, HM Lenders, Appraisers, CPAs, Lawyers, and more. Without building a team, this business is impossible.
I also asked you to find a local attorney expert in real estate contracts so that I could help you "vet" him or her to assist your REI business. Many RE attornneys are not familiar trusts and options and other contracts. No word on getting the attorney.
As I focus on "cash or terms" investing, I asked you to get access to the Hawaii MLS, to be able get current expired, cancelled and long DOM listings for possible terms deals. Have not heard any word on the MLS access.
I asked you to look into getting the Hawaii books for being a licensed agent, as licensed agents refer deals to other agents. Possible book to learning common Hawaii Practices -
https://www.amazon.com/Principles-Practices-Hawaii...
You also stated that you may be moving to SC in Jan 2017 and I said I would put your training contract on hold until you moved to SC.
Your "To Do List" Download is on this link:
http://www.reiskills.com/assets/to-do-lists/
The curriculum that you made an investment for does include Negotiating With Sellers, but also includes what is on this video:
https://myreiskills.com/course-list/
Your contract is still in force and on hold.
I have many happy students. Many people on BP like me and trust me. See just some of my references https://www.dropbox.com/s/7i54tdipx2m9wj8/Testimon...
I even have a conditional limited guarantee that if you follow the training for 12 CONSISTENT months (and you need to show evidence of that) and after 12 months, fail to create $7000 in gross income, after 12 months you can apply for a refund. But you have to do the work on a consistent basis. The most important quality in this business is in the FOLLOW UP; I usually get a no in the beginning and a yes down the road. See website earnings disclaimer though. http://www.reiskills.com/disclosures/
I will ask you to start over from scratch, re read the materials, listen to the audios, do the To Do Lists and quizzes, attend the REIA meetings, find an attorney that I can vet, use my agreements to start with and have your attorney tweak, role play w me on the phone regarding the "Negotiating With Home Sellers" (which is considered some of the best training for terms deals, just ask
@Dev Horn of WEBUYHOUSES.com), get access to the MLS, walk though houses and write offers for wholesaling and terms deals, and follow up tenaciously.
If you do not want to do that, you have my permission to sell your contract with me, as long as I approve of the person.
Sincerely,
Brian Gibbons
